Sneak Peek: Romance shoot '12

As a lover of LACE, I figured it would be pretty cool to style! I love the sexy, whimsical, and time-less appeal of lace. Add that, with beautiful greenery, and you have a dope set. When I see lace, I immediately think of LOVE. That thought then lead me to a Valentine's Day theme. Valentine's meet Lace. AND... here's what I came up with....

Closet Cleaning 101 (cont. NewYear, NewLook)

1. REMOVE ALL UNWANTED ITEMS. If you haven't wore it in the pass few years, most like its not a keeper.

2. GROUP LIKE ITEMS. Literally! Place all jackets together, all pants, tops. This keeps your closet neat and organized. This clearance takes you right to that LBD or jean that you can't get enough of.

3. SHOP ONLY FOR REPLACEMENT ITEMS. For about the next couple of months shop only for items that was trashed due to age. Possibly a new blazer, basic tees, or coat. Remember key items are essential!

4. RECOVER. After purchasing the basics, adding some glitz wouldn't hurt. Embellished tops are focal points, and looks great on any size. Keep in mind the items should flatter your body.. Purchasing just because its on sale or because its pretty isn't an exception for fit. The cut and style of a garment is just as important as you getting dressed.

NewLook, NewYear

Ever thought "Geesh I should really clean out my closet." Or "Man I can never find nothing to wear?.....What do I even have in there?....Why don't these jeans fit anymore?" Now is the PERFECT time to dish out the old, and bring in the new! Its time to make room for those Christmas gifts and take in consideration the items you don't wear. NO ONE LIKES A CLUTTER BUG! Goodwill will happily receive all unwanted items. Making a list of most needed items, i.e. basics (solid air of Jeans, Tees, Cami's, a Blazer, simple wrap Dress,Slacks, and comfy shoes) can take a girl a long way. This list prevents you from being/becoming an Impulse Buyer. You know the kind.... One who buys an item off excitement, living in the moment almost... Just because it's there. Think of it like this, by cleaning out your closet you have simply made room for hot new items. Granted you may miss some of the old pieces due to age, but your new pieces are awaiting your love and compliments you'll receive. :). So do 2012 a favor and set a style for your personality. Find items that fit and compliment your shape. VERY IMPORTANT. No more over-sized jeans, or too-little shirts. Your 2012 style personality should match the attitude you exude.
